IT Applications Analyst

Our London based Law Firm client is looking to take on a new IT Applications Analyst on an initial 6 month FTC. This is a new role, for the firm. The purpose of the role will be to create a second line and third line of response within the IT team, where the candidate will deal with issues highlighted by the service desk. The client is looking for someone who has experience in second line IT support.

The duties for this role include but are not limited to, maintaining an in depth knowledge of the Firms applications and be able to give relatable, on call advice to members of the frim who may not be technically minded. You will be required to troubleshoot problems with the systems, processes and assist in creating solutions and effective preventative measures, working closely with technical team where required. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate incident and problem management and root cause analysis for application related issues, and constantly seek to improve internal processes and highlight areas that need improvement and assist the development and management release teams in implementing changes. You will also be required to carefully document case histories, issues, and actionable steps taken using ServiceNow and manage configuration items (CIs) and related information. Investigates and implements tools, techniques and processes for managing CIs and verifies that related information is complete, current and accurate as well as any other ad hoc projects as required.

 

To carry out this role effectively candidates will need:

  • Previous experience working in an Application Support role (3+ years in environments with 300+ users)
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, Citrix, Desktop provisioning.
  • Legal application support experience. Rekoop / Intapp, BigHand, Norwel, DMS (NetDocs), PMS, NetDocuments, Tikit TMS
  • Day to day experience with Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
  • Excellent Windows Desktop Operating Systems and Windows Server knowledge (Windows 10, Server 2008 and above)

Other desirable qualifications and skills would be:

  • ITIL knowledge or certification
  • PowerShell Scripting
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Databases, Azure, Group Policy, Citrix Desktops, ServiceNow
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Cloud Services: SharePoint Online, Teams, Azure, etc
  • Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) qualification in Word and Excel
  • CompTIA A+ and other technical qualifications

Standard working hours for this vacancy are a rotating 8 hour day shift pattern between 8am-7pm, this includes an out of office weekend rota. Salary on offer is up to £45,000 plus benefits.
