Well established International Law Firm is seeking to hire a new HRBP to join their expanding London team. The firm are looking for an experience HRBP or Senior HR Officer looking for a step up into a role with more responsibility. This role will be focussed around leading all fee earner groups and lead the Senior Associate/Associate promotion round. Another key focus of the role will be to research and suggest a new global mobility offering and refresh existing performance management programmes.


Duties for this role will be to provide generalist HR Support across designated practice groups, covering Talent Management and Succession Planning, working with Partners in each industry group to map fee earners in the global talent group, and suggest ways to motivate and retain talent and aid in continuing future success of the firm. Candidates will work with key stakeholders and lead promotions for Associates and Senior Associates and manage the assessment process. The Senior HRBP will also be responsible for fee earner recruitment within their practice groups. This includes: budgets, preparation of job descriptions, advertising, interviewing and identifying suitable skills assessment materials, negotiating packages, etc.and involvement in the full end to end process. Candidates will ideally be experienced in running performance management processes and be experienced in dealing with ER issues. Candidates will work closely with partners to manage annual salary and bonus reviews and maintain up to date knowledge of employment law and ensure each practice group is in line with any regulations, and be prepared to work with the risk and compliance team when needed.


The firm are looking for candidates with at least 5 years working in a strong HR background who are used to a multi-faceted, hands on generalist position. A HR degree or CIPD are essential to this role, along with a good understanding of employment Law and its application in practice. Strong interpersonal skills and a diplomatic, pragmatic approach will be needed.


Standard working hours are 9:30am- 5:30pm with a flexible attitude should the need arise. Salary for this role is up to £85,000, experience dependent.
