An Award Winning US Law Firm based in the City is looking to hire a new Evening Legal Secretary to work the hours 8.00pm – 3.00am on a permanent basis. Responsibilities will include performing overload typing, filing, photocopying, as requested by other Attorneys, transcribe legal documents, correspondence and reports from rough draft or dictation, type and revise a variety of correspondence and legal documents in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and all other software packages as required, monitor and respond to departmental mailbox and phones as necessary for the efficient operation of the department and maintenance of high service levels, processing emails received in the department mailbox according to established procedures, utilise the Document Management System (DMS) to retrieve, deliver, and manage documents, proofread edited documents for accuracy, quality, grammar and overall content, ensuring that Attorney time sheets are dealt with in a timely manner, observing confidentiality of Attorney-client relationship, preparing and processing correspondence and legal documents requiring knowledge of legal format, terminology and procedures, using comparison software, redline versions of documents against each other, manipulate, revise and troubleshoot MS Word documents, including conversion of these documents from other computer software applications, converting documents from one application to another (e.g., Word to PDF, Word to PowerPoint, Excel to Word, etc.), using specialised features within applications to create indexes, TOCs, TOAs, file labels, data files, merges, form documents, envelopes, etc, managing photocopying, faxing and scanning of document requests according to deadline, booking courier services. Candidates need to have previous Legal Secretarial experience, strong technical and typing skills, excellent written, organisational and communication skills. Standard hours are 8.00pm – 3.00am.
