Accounts Payable Assistant – US Law Firm – 6 month FTC

We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join this reputable US law firm based in Central London to provide cover on a 6-month FTC basis. The Accounts Payable Assistant will be available at short notice and able to commit for a minimum of 6 months. This role is offering a very generous flexible agile working pattern, of 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely.  Additionally this firm offer a salary of up to £30,000 with standard hours being 9:30am to 5:30pm.

Reporting directly into the Finance Manager duties include;

 

  • Handles invoice and employee reimbursement processing (including foreign transactions), audit expenses, coding, input and verification.
  • Reviews invoices for accuracy and completeness.
  • Processes (audit/coding) express and manual checks.
  • Reviews and follow-up on vendor statements.
  • Point of contact for staff inquiries.
  • Liaises with internal support departments and the Firm’s global offices, as necessary.
  • Liaises externally with vendors to proactively resolve disputes and payments issues.
  • Checks and processes London conference call invoice.
  • Processes and checks internal catering costs (conference room meals, lunch and evening meal charges) and processes catering company invoice.
  • Processes client billing entries.
  • Maintains European Vendors on Accounting System.
  • Reviews excel charts for various analysis.
  • Reconciles petty cash.

 

Candidates will have at least 2 years’ experience working in a busy accounts department, preferably in a law firm. You will possess confident communications skills and strong attention to detail and accuracy.
