Billing & Revenue Specialist – US Law Firm – St Pauls – Agile Working

A fantastic US Law Firm based in St Pauls is looking for a new Billing & Revenue Specialist to join the London office on a permanent basis to support both the London Corporate and Commercial practice groups. This role is to work 3 days in the office and 2 at home working 9.30am – 5.30pm, with a salary of up to £60,000 DOE on offer plus fantastic benefits.

 

Reporting into the Finance Manager in London and the Revenue Manager in the US, the Billing & Revenue Specialist will be responsible for;

 

  • Matter management including WIP management, liaising with partners regarding WIP, bill timing and WIP write-offs in line with firm policy
  • Working with the Pricing team and reviewing profitability of matters for the London office
  • Ensuring that matters are set up correctly
  • Ensuring the effective application of special rates and arrangements on all matters, taking measures to diagnose and rectify any errors;
  • Providing WIP reports and draft bills to the partners
  • Ensuring billing workflow is adhered to
  • Carrying out time and cost transfers when requested;
  • Resolving any issues that occur during the billing process to avoid significant delays;
  • Working with the Finance & Revenue Managers to achieve specific project targets set by management;
  • Responsible for the Credit Control function;
  • Ensuring the compliance of all bills issued with the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules and VAT Regulations;
  • Liaising with the team regarding any client-to-office transfers required to settle outstanding bills;
  • Other duties include assisting the AP team with entering vendor/supplier invoices.

 

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working within a billing and revenue focused role, preferably in a US law firm using Aderant and / or Elite 3E. You will have strong written, communication and organisation skills and excellent technical skills with knowledge of the HMRC and SRA rules.
