Leading US law firm is recruiting a new Client Development Coordinator to join their friendly and dynamic team who are committed to delivering consistent, high-quality client service.  This role will be supporting the German and Luxembourg offices as well as the wider EMEA platform. This role may be based in London or Munich and fluency of both English and German is a must.  This firm offers a very flexible remote working environment and the salary of this role will be around the £42,000 mark.


Duties will include:


  • Assemble routine pitches and presentations, assist with responses to RFPs, and handle related tracking of activities with minimal supervision.
  • Conduct research projects used for client development efforts, including company and industry research, pursuit lists, and competitive intelligence in an effort to exploit market differentiation.
  • Support implementation of practice group plans and client development activities beyond pitches, such as client targeting initiatives.
  • Update and maintain lawyer and Firm credentials.
  • Update and maintain experience data and support full integration and adoption of firmwide experience database.
  • Assist in the creation of new credentials and collateral, as appropriate.
  • Update and maintain lawyer bios and rankings on the website and internal systems.
  • Maintain experience list for offices and relevant product lines.
  • Coordinate and frequently draft and/or translate client communications, including legal updates, announcements, newsletters, specific thought leadership campaigns and other communications (particularly when German language skills are required).
  • Assist with general website maintenance/updating as appropriate.
  • Assist with social media communications via LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook, as appropriate.
  • Oversee printing, distribution and storage of marketing collateral.
  • Coordinate and lead legal directory submissions (Chambers, Legal 500, JUVE, etc), together with Client Development Managers.
  • Assist with specific awards and league table submissions.
  • Assist the Events Manager with coordination of seminars, webinars, conference sponsorships, exhibitions, and other events, including arranging logistics, invitations, materials, and hospitality, particularly with respect to German and Luxembourg events.
  • Assist with and help lead follow-up activities.
  • Collect and enter data into internal marketing tools and systems, such as the firm’s CRM and experience databases, which are used for internal and external reporting and tracking.
  • Update and maintain mailing lists via CRM.
  • Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
  • Complete other assignments and projects as needed.


Knowledge, skills and abilities:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field.
  • Fluency in written and spoken German and English required.
  • Effective writing skills in both languages.
  • Ability to travel as and when needed.
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing or a related role.
  • Law firm or other professional services experience is a plus.
  • Excellent project management, organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines and coordinate own work.
  • Understanding of the marketing functions, needs and expectations of lawyers and clients.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; Interaction CRM is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Good interpersonal skills; polite, professional, positive manner.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to function in a collaborative organization and be a team player.
