Business Development Specialist – US Law Firm – St Pauls – 2 days office / 3 days remote

Leading US law firm is looking to hire a Business Development Specialist to working with the firm’s London Business Development team. Working across all practice areas and industry groups the Business Development Specialist will focus on all bids and pitch development activities incorporating firmwide marketing, business and client development initiatives. Located in stylish offices near Bank and St Pauls tube stations, this position is a hybrid working role with a minimum of 2 days in the office.  Standard hours are 9:30am to 5:30pm with salary to the £50,000 mark.

 

Reporting into the Senior Business Development Manager for London, you will be tasked with:

 

  • Creating and delivering client-focused proposals, qualifications and presentation materials in response to RFPs and other opportunities for new business
  • Serving as a primary point of contact for production and assembly of customised marketing packages and promotional materials
  • Drafting, editing and proofing such materials as marketing collateral, slide decks and lawyer biographies
  • Serving as liaison to lawyers and secretaries to build, maintain and regularly update practice group contact lists in the firm’s client relationship management (CRM) database
  • Creating and maintaining experience lists for practice areas and lawyer activities
  • Prepare and deliver detailed competitive intelligence and marketing research reports leveraging firmwide research tools and library resources. This may also include development of qualified prospect lists for certain marketing/client development initiatives
  • Coordinate the development of articles, newsletters electronic news alerts and other marketing communications materials
  • Assist in tracking information relating to business development activities in the firm’s proposal tracking system
  • Coordinate practice group membership/renewals in various trade and related organizations for the London office

 

Candidates will be educated to degree level with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a bids and tenders focused role working preferably in a law firm or corporate environment. You will possess excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to write and produce proposals, collateral, research reports and client-facing presentation materials. Strong MS Office skills are essential, as well as a recognised CRM software, preferably InterAction.
