Conflicts & AML Analyst – US Law Firm – Hybrid Working & Benefits

A prestigious US law firm is looking to hire a new Conflicts & AML Analyst to join the London office on a permanent basis.  The role will be responsible for conducting preliminary analysis and research for the identification and subsequent resolution of any potential issues during the new business acceptance process.  The firm offers agile working plus exceptional benefits and a salary of up to £45,000 is on offer.

 

Responsibilities for the new Conflicts & AML Analyst will include performing an initial review of conflicts search requests, and work with secretaries and submitters to obtain clear, precise, and relevant information, conducting conflicts checks using the firm’s conflicts database, paying close attention to special entries and sensitivities, reviewing the search results to identify potential issues and rule-out irrelevant hits, where appropriate, compiling and dispatching conflicts search reports, incorporating research and analysis from the firm’s internal conflicts database and external corporate research tools, maintaining a clear record documenting all conflicts research, communication with partners/attorneys and other internal stakeholders, analysis and conclusion of conflicts resolution in the firm’s new business acceptance system.  Other duties will include researching, identifying ad verifying new clients by using external corporate research tools and online resources, advising and supporting support the partners/attorneys and secretaries on the AML processes in UK/EU (e.g., outline further details and documentation required from the client, review AML forms), compiling and organising AML documentation in a systematic manner. Coordinate the internal approval/clearance of AML checks from the designated compliance officers in the UK/EU offices and monitoring the CNB Department & London AML mailbox during business hours and respond to first line queries / escalate queries to other members of the CNB team as appropriate.

 

The successful Conflicts & AML Analyst needs to have a minimum of 2 years conflicts / compliance experience within a law firm, in addition to excellent project and computer database experience plus excellent written, communication and organisation skills.  Standard hours are 9.30am – 5.30pm plus a salary of up to £45,000 is on offer plus exceptional benefits.
