Our prestigious UK law firm client is currently looking for a Finance Assistant to work within their IP & Media group in their Liverpool office, this will be a varied role with a strong focus on finance/billing duties along with general clerical responsibilities. The main duties for this role include assisting with preparation and processing of the group’s bills, preparing credit notes, account transfers and write-offs, dealing with team member and secretary queries on an ongoing basis on all billing-related matters including time transfers, fee allocations and write-offs, liaising with Accounts to manage logging of disbursement invoices. Further duties will include investigating credit balances and assisting cashiers with reconciliations when required, preparing WIP reports for team members, liaising with team secretaries regarding invoices to be sent to clients, managing electronic filing for billing documents, opening new matters on the inception system, general clerical assistance for the group, in particular for the trademarks administration team. Candidates should have at least one years’ experience working within a finance/billing administration role within a legal or professional services environment.  Candidates should also be technically minded and have working knowledge of Microsoft and billing systems. The core hours for this role are 9.30am – 5.30pm and this role is paying up to £24,000.
