Get in to HR: Legal HR Administrator (Temp-to-Perm)

City based international law firm is looking to recruit either a soon to be qualified graduate who is looking for a career in HR, or a recently qualified graduate with previous HR experience (either as an Intern, Apprentice or paid employee) to join their hugely supportive, talented and successful HR team as their HR Administrator.  This position is to start as either a temp-to-perm or contract-to-perm opportunity however this is 100% a position to become a permanent hire with a salary around the £28,000 mark.

The HR Administrator responsibilities will be to provide general administrative support to the Human Resources team and coordinate and process Human Resources (HR) information.

 

HR Administrator duties will include:

 

General Human Resources Administration

  • To support the Human Resources team with any general administrative tasks and ad hoc projects.
  • To be responsible for keeping the HR filing system up to date and the team’s filing system is accurate and complaint with GDPR regulations.
  • To be responsible for payment of all HR related invoices.
  • To ensure any expenses are processed in a timely manner.
  • To run any necessary ad hoc reports.
  • To be responsible for coordinating responses in relation to day to day administration; for example, requests for reference and mortgage letters.
  • To ensure that office locations and secretarial allocations are accurate and kept up to date.
  • To update and distribute the firm’s joiners and leavers spreadsheet.
  • To update and amend the firm’s HR intranet pages when necessary.
  • To undertake any other duties which reasonably fall within the area of support services.

Benefits and Wellbeing

  • To assist with any general administration regarding benefits and wellbeing.
  • To be responsible for enrolling new joiners and removing any leavers from the firm’s benefit programmes
  • To assist with administration of the annual wellbeing month.
  • To coordinate the monthly pension meetings, Childcare Voucher order, Cycle to Work scheme applications, and gym allowance process.
  • To process any voucher orders and manage all wedding/thank you gifts.

 

CSR and Diversity & Inclusion

  • To coordinate the Diversity & Inclusion meeting calendar, including organization of any necessary agendas ahead of each meeting and providing the minutes post-meeting.
  • To liaise with the US Diversity & Inclusion team with regards to the global calendar.
  • To assist with event coordination and attendance tracking.
  • To manage the transport and meeting room bookings for volunteering opportunities.
  • To request any necessary background checks for all volunteering sessions.

 

Graduate Recruitment & Development

  • To assist with any general administration regarding graduate recruitment.

 

Lateral Recruitment & Selection

  • To be responsible for keeping the recruitment spreadsheets up to date.
  • To organise all new joiner inductions and arrange the printing of induction manuals.

HR Administrator applicants need to be degree educated, have a passion for HR and administration plus take pride in their work with strong attention to detail with a patient, intelligent and proactive approach to their work.  Standard hours are 9.30am to 5.30pm.  This law firm is regarded as one of the best law firms/companies to work for in London and this role is free to be started asap, be it next week/next month – it is all about finding the right applicant with the right attitude.
