Graduate keen on HR: HR Administrator at top US Law Firm to £25,000

Our leading US law firm is looking to hire a new HR Administrator, on a permanent basis – this role suits applicants who are recent graduates who are keen to secure a role in HR, be it if you have a few months’ paid HR administrative experience, an HR degree or qualifications or have worked as an intern or work experience within HR – this role is more about applicants having the right personality and skillset.  Duties will include being asked to assist the Professional and Administrative Resources Specialist in HR related matters, assist in maintaining electronic and physical HR files and employee records, respond to HR enquiries, and liaise with central HR departments in New York as appropriate, such as Payroll or Benefits, onboarding; organise on-boarding for all new hires, including monitoring background and conflict checks, preparation of new joiner forms for central HR in the US, and coordinating of induction programmes and welcome information, probation; monitor mid-probation and end-probation dates. Collect feedback to feed into probation meetings. Prepare end of probation letters and complete online documentation, immigration; carry out right to work checks for all new joiners, work with external Immigration lawyers on the rolling Resident Labour Market Test campaign to ensure spreadsheets are accurate and up to date; maintain accurate filing and records, work closely with the HR team in the States with regard to notification and processing of employee changes, including arrivals, departures, leaves of absence, compensation changes, secondments, etc. and process invoices relating to duties including, but not limited to; immigration, recruitment, professional development, operations and background checking. Update and maintain spreadsheets and payment records appropriately.  Applicants need to have very strong attention to detail, be organised and have the ability to multi-task as well as someone who will enjoy going to work – the HR team is one of the friendliest in London and training will be provided.  Offices are based by Liverpool Street/Fenchurch Street stations however they are easily located from all mainline City overground stations.  Standard hours are 9:30am to 5:30pm with this firm offering a fantastic benefits package.
