Graduate & Legal Recruitment Coordinator

US law firm is looking to hire a Legal Recruiting Senior Coordinator on an initial 12-month FTC basis, this role will be focusing both on Graduate and Lateral hires.

 

Graduate Recruitment duties include:

 

  • Primary point of contact and subject-matter expert, both internally and externally, for graduate recruitment, spanning candidate attraction, candidate selection and onboarding.
  • Promote all aspects of employer branding (ensuring adherence to the firm’s branding guidelines), including review and updates of all promotional materials, publications, social media and advertising.
  • Assist on design and implementation of graduate recruitment strategy across EMEA in collaboration with the Director and MPLPs and recruiting partners.
  • Organise and deliver the firm’s vacation schemes and EMEA insight days. This includes screening applications, running assessment centres, preparation and delivery of offers, feeding back to unsuccessful candidates and design and delivery of programmes and events.
  • Manage any trainee visa applications in collaboration with the HR team.
  • Coordinate and deliver trainee induction programmes. This includes coordinating and delivering sessions.
  • Manage the qualification process for London trainees. This includes liaising internally to identify roles, advising on assessment and selection criteria, scheduling interviews and preparing offer paperwork and coordinating the admission process.
  • Lead the graduate recruitment diversity initiatives, including reporting on diversity statistics and managing the London mentoring programme and diversity events. This includes screening candidates, programme design and delivery.
  • Coordinate trainee mid-seat appraisals and attend all end of seat appraisals with seat supervisors and Training Principal.
  • Monitor future and current trainee performance, from GDL to qualification, dealing with performance issues in collaboration with the Director and HR Team.
  • Coordinate trainee seat rotation process, including overseas and client secondments. This includes liaising with partners to understand resourcing needs and trainees to understand preferences and obtaining visas and coordinating relocation for overseas seats.

 

Lateral hiring duties include:

 

  • Point of contact and subject-matter expert, both internally and externally, for lateral recruitment, spanning candidate attraction, candidate selection and onboarding.
  • Support the Practice Group heads and other partners to manage their lateral recruitment needs across the EMEA offices from inception of a vacancy to on-boarding of the successful candidate. This includes supporting in drafting job descriptions, agreeing candidate specifications, advising on recruitment strategies and selection techniques, selecting and briefing agencies, screening candidates, scheduling interviews and preparation and delivery of offers.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with legal search firms, as well as other recruitment contacts and resources. Acting as an ambassador for the firm at all times.

 

This Recruitment Coordinator role is offering a competetive yet flexible salary and are looking for at least 3 years experience within a legal recruitment role, preferably candidates should know both graduate and legal recruitment but flexibility is available.
