Graduate Recruitment Coordinator

Leading US law firm is looking to hire a new team member in to their busy Graduate Recruitment department, the firm is flexible on the experience – the main criteria is someone who enjoys the graduate recruitment process or has a strong interest in getting involved in this side of the role – this can mean applicants have previous experience or are a fresh graduate (law or HR related) and have a strong interest in starting a career in graduate recruitment with this being a fantastic opportunity of starting at a top US law firm.  This role is an initial 6-month fixed term contract with a strong chance of it moving in to a permanent position.


Duties will include:


  • Assist with the annual application form screening process for vacation scheme students (c. 1200), ensuring that appropriate criteria are used for selection purposes
  • Assist with the facilitation of interviewing and assessment days for vacation schemes and training contract candidates, and liaison with interviewers
  • Assist with the management of the AllHires Graduate and Shortlister online application systems
  • Assist with the annual end of season recruitment reports providing relevant statistics
  • At the direction of the Manger work with internal marketing teams to devise and deliver an effective marketing campaigns, including campus events, sponsorship, and competition activities, print and online media advertising, graduate recruitment website, and publicity related events
  • Act as an ambassador for the firm at recruitment marketing events Assist with the coordination of vacation scheme activity including allocation of placements, training sessions and feedback
  • Assist with the co-ordination of trainee induction and rotation seat moves
  • Assist with trainee mid seat and end of seat appraisals
  • Assist with the future trainees on-boarding process including managing the offer process, keeping in touch with future trainees and pre-joining administration
  • Ensure trainees receive regular feedback throughout their training contract and provide relevant support to ensure the wellbeing of trainees
  • Assist with ad hoc lateral recruitment as needed

Education and experience


  • Educated to degree (or equivalent) level of experience
  • Ideally at least one year’s graduate recruitment experience within a professional services firm (ideally within an international law.


This firm is most likely to adopt a 3 days in / 2 days from home working policy with standard hours being 9:30am to 5:30pm – a salary range, dependent upon experience is £28-35,000.
