HR Advisor (12 Month FTC) – Top UK Law Firm – Generous Hybrid Working Structure

Well established UK law firm is seeking to hire a new HR Advisor, into their growing HR Team on an initial 12 Month basis. This roles focus will be to offer a full generalist service reporting directly to the HR Business Partner, Shared Services and generalist team. You will primarily support the fee earning Business Services division but will also provide additional support to other HR Business Partners or HR Advisors as required. This role will be ideally based in the firms busy London office however location can be flexible and can be based in any of the firms offices (Basingstoke, Guildford or London). Candidates will have a full range of generalist HR core responsibilities and will have the opportunity to step-up to take on HR project work, and fit into a cohesive, friendly and encouraging working environment working closely with a collaborative and tight knit team and also work collaboratively with the firms other UK offices.

Duties of the HR Advisor will include being responsible for maintaining accurate data on the HR systems e.g. joiners, leavers, office transfers, changes to working patterns, employee personal details and absences, preparing HR correspondence, probation completion, reference requests, salary review and bonus communications, etc. Practical working knowledge of other software used such as, SurveyMonkey, Chrome River, and WorkRite, Benefax and Allhires would be beneficial too but not essential. The HR Advisor will also be tasked with assisting with the onboarding process, assisting with the leaver procedures, maintaining the employee benefits membership databases with joiners, leavers and other amendments, maintaining the HR pages onto the intranet, providing active support to the Firm’s diversity and inclusion specialists to ensure the success of the firms established initiatives, providing assistance with the appraisal processes, managing appraisal documentation, etc, assisting with annual salary and bonus review processes, updating the HR system, etc, acting as the point of contact for holiday queries, managing the year-end holiday/carry over process and providing holiday accrual reports as and when required, monitoring and logging sickness absence, and assisting with ER cases should on occasion. Candidates will also be involved with benefits and wellbeing processes which the firm has a great focus on and assist in creating a harmonious working environment for all employees.

Candidates should ideally have previous experience working in a HR Administrator or Assistant role with a legal HR space. Strong academics and CIPD qualification would also be desirable. The core hours for this role are 9:30am-5:30pm. This role is offering a generous salary, flexible dependent on experience and a brilliant, flexible hybrid working structure, with no fixed office days and 50/50 work from home split.
