HR Advisor – Leading London Law Firm – Generous Salary + Agile Working

Large London based law firm who is both highly regarded and award winning is seeking to hire a new HR Advisor, working closely with the Senior HR Advisors, Business Partners and Head of HR Advisory & Operations, this role will act as first point of contact for some of our fee earning teams for all HR related queries, as well as supporting on project work.  This firm is committed to the hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely with standard hours 9:30am to 5:30pm, salary will be to £45,000.  This is the perfect role and opportunity for someone looking to step-up in to an HR Advisor role or wanting to move in to a larger firm where you and develop and work within a very talented team who can learn from and utilise your theoretical skills in a Best Practice environment.

 

HR Advisor duties will include:

 

  • Providing expert advice, guidance and support to partners and employees on HR matters including but not limited to employment policies, performance management, absence management, welfare issues, flexible working requests, disciplinary and grievance matters.
  • Managing investigations and support with hearings on disciplinary, capability and grievances policies as required.
  • Working closely with the HR Support Assistants, this role is responsible for the employee lifecycle processes for fee earners, including new joiners, leavers, role changes, family leave and flexible working requests.
  • Liaising with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure onboarding and induction are handled effectively.
  • Providing guidance and mentoring to more junior team members in order to support development, delegate effectively and help create efficient working practices, with an eye on continuous process improvement.
  • Having wellbeing conversations and liaising with the firm’s Occupational Health Advisors, referring cases as necessary and ensuring implementation of recommendations.
  • Helping to coordinate both client and international secondments, ensuring compliance with secondment guidelines
  • Authorising changes to payroll and sending appropriate notifications on a monthly basis.
  • Utilising Flourish (HR system) to provide reports and management information.
  • Ongoing review of the firm’s policies and procedures, recommending and updating policies where appropriate, to ensure they are current and in line with best practice.
  • Supporting the annual performance process to drive continuous feedback, goal setting and effective conversations.
  • Helping facilitate the annual salary and bonus review process, advising on market trends and attending salary and bonus moderation sessions.
  • Helping facilitate and input to the annual fee earner promotions process, including attending promotion interviews where needed

 

HR Advisor candidate criteria includes:

 

  • Previous experience in an operational, client facing HR role
