Our client is a prestigious City law firm – they are now looking to recruit a HR Manager to join their lovely HR team in London.

This is fantastic opportunity to join a close-knit, friendly and supportive team of HR and Recruitment professionals.

As a HR Manager, you will business partner for two of their four core departments, delivering HR support and advice to partners and managers, building strong and effective relationships with heads of department and partners involved in the day-to-day operation of those teams. You will be the first point of HR contact and will also have responsibility to support and lead on various HR projects.

The standard hours are 9.30am to 5.30pm. The salary on offer is up to £75,000 + Benefits. This role is a permanent position, and the client are currently using a hybrid working approach.

Responsibilities as a HR Manager include:

• Help to lead and grow the HR Business Partnering function
• Provide commercial advice and support to managers and partners on employee relations issues
• Review progress of new joiners (alongside line managers)
• Conduct exit interviews with leavers, seeking feedback to understand any issues or trends and making recommendations for improvements
• Keep abreast of pay and benefit trends and market rates
• Take a lead role in the maintenance and continued development of the firm’s wellbeing programme
• Keep up to date with all developments in terms of employee legislation and employee relations issues
• Liaise with the Head of HR to proactively identify issues and concerns
• Provide advice and suggestions for HR policies as appropriate

Requirements as a HR Manager include:

• Generalist HR experience gained from a law firm would be advantageous
• Generalist HR experience gained from a professional services firm will also be considered
• Ability to build and maintain working relationships across all areas of the business
• Ability to work successfully as part of a team
• CIPD qualifications are also highly desirable
