HR/Operations Manager

Niche US law firm is creating a new role to bring in an HR/Operations Manager to work very closely and communicate daily with Managing Partners in order to ensure coordination of all daily and strategic HR, Employment and Operation functions.   You will be tasked to proactively deliver professional and efficient practice support services to the London office including managing a range of in-house and outsourced administrative services to ensure these services are streamlined and seamless in their service delivery.


Duties will include management of Human Resources, Compensation, Benefits, Policies & Procedures, Employee Relations, Professional Development, Recruitment, Operations and Purchasing.


This is a fantastic opportunity to join a firm and grow with the London office.  We are looking for candidates with previous strong HR experience, where you have advised Partners and led from the front plus be the first point of call for all Operations and Office Management decision making responsibilities.


Applicants need:


  • Minimum five years generalist HR and/or operations experience at managerial level within legal services.
  • Solid experience of managing ER issues both routine and complex.
  • Good knowledge of UK employment law and best practices guidelines.
  • Strong knowledge in HR Systems.
  • Highly effective writing and communications skills (both verbal and written)  and the ability to communicate credibly and diplomatically at all levels. • Excellent time management and organisation skills, and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple highly detailed projects.
  • Degree educated
  • Ability to keep confidential any information, observations or viewpoints regarding Firm personnel or matters.
  • Ability to solve problems on an immediate basis and work using initiative.
  • Ability to demonstrate a flexible and hands-on attitude.


This role will be paying to £90,000 with offices based in the City, although currently you will be working remotely.
