Our top International Law Firm client are seeking an Insurance Data Manager to join them on a permanent basis in their London offices. The Insurance Data Manager will be tasked with the day to day running and management of the existing Management Information & Data (MID) team. The team have overall responsibility for insurance data, processes, design, collection, and production of MI for the firm’s clients. An integral part of the MID team’s role will be quality checking of data. This role offers a generous hybrid working structure of 2 days in the office 3 from home and is offering a salary up to £60,000.


The duties for the Insurance Data Manager in this newly created role, alongside managing the team, will be to ensure deadlines are met, data is of a high accuracy and quality and providing a top service to clients. Candidates must have experience in the design and employment of new procedures, Previous experiences building departments / teams up would be useful in this role. The Insurance Data Manager will support partners, so their teams’ data quality is understood, and where issues are identified, creating plans and strategies to improve data quality. Experience dealing with key internal stakeholders is vital. The firm realises the importance of the MI function and aims for it to become embedded the firms processes.


Candidates will need to have had previous experience working in a major insurance business in data governance or data reporting or had experience in an Insurance department of a Law Firm. Detailed technical knowledge of data requirements for the insurance market would be desirable along with a deep level of understanding of insurance terminology. Team management skills, strong organisation and strong software knowledge (MOS accreditation, SQL, SSIS and similar) would be very advantageous.
