IT Support Coordinator

  • Salary : Up to £55,000

Rapidly growing US law firm has created a new IT role for its London office, this is the first IT role within the London office which is down to the expansion and commitment to the London office.  This role is titled IT Coordinator and you will be responsible for ensuring an effective and efficient level of IT Support be provided including the deployment/repair/moves of computer hardware, phone set-up and support, troubleshooting and fixing of software-related issues, conference room/video conference set-up.  Occasional travel to remote sites for IT support coverage may be required.  This firm is known to pay very good salaries and bonuses with the hours being 9am to 6pm – this IT Support Coordinator role is paying to £55,000 and we are looking for candidates with strong 1st/2nd line support experience from a similar role within a law firm.

 

IT Support Coordinator Responsibilities:

 

  • Field incoming support requests from end-users via telephone, email and service desk system queue in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Provide onsite and remote support to end-users for network, hardware, software, and video conference issues.
  • Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems, applications, data backup and restore.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of workstations, printers, and peripherals.
  • Perform post-resolution follow-ups to confirm issues are resolved fully.
  • Assist in maintaining, and controlling all IT inventory in the office.
  • Perform set-up, breakdown and cable management of user workstations.
  • Participate in identifying and researching firm hardware needs and play an integral role in the successful implementation of firm IT initiatives.
  • Provide advice to users in office on best practices and hardware/software solutions.
  • Communicate efficiently and keep office manager and management members informed of IT-related projects or issues, both in Brussels and London.
  • Work with both second level, and hardware team, to help with new issues that arise.

 

IT Support Coordinator applicants will need to have the following:

 

  1. Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
  2. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  3. Strong communication, interpersonal and customer-service skills.
  4. Self-motivated, attentive to detail and highly organized.
  5. Knowledge of basic computer hardware, including PC and Apple products.
  6. Experience with desktop-operating systems, including Windows 10 and Sierra/High Sierra iOS/BigSur.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and strong documentation skills.
  8. Knowledge of best practices in regards to IT security.
