London based US Law firm is looking to hire a new IT Support Specialist who has a minimum of 2 years’ experience of 2nd line support. The responsibilities and functions of this role will be to support and troubleshoot both computer and telecommunications-related issues – software, hardware, network devices, printers and smartphones and assist with the Cisco phone set-up (CUCM Administration), imaging and deploying machines, mobility support, setting up A/V conferences, assist with training system users, participate in application testing, be on the out-of-hours rota, maintain accurate inventories and be an overall support to the European IT Support Manager for all day-to-day operations in London and other international offices – you will need a team-playing and flexible attitude as you will be supporting all members of staff from Managing Partner to support staff. Applicants require excellent oral, written and communication skills, the ability to communicate with attorneys and staff in a friendly and effective manner, have good knowledge of Windows Operating System 10 and MS Office 2016 (previous versions will be considered), be passionate about IT and be able to demonstrate the capacity of multi-task with a strong attention to detail. Additionally applicants require a legal sector IT background, a minimum of 5 GCSEs A-C and any professional qualifications would be an advantage. Standard hours are 10am to 6pm however flexibility is essential, for now the anticipation is for this hire to start in a working from home capacity due to government advice regarding the Coronavirus pandemic.
