Junior Receptionist – Boutique US Law Firm – 35 Hour Week

Boutique US law firm is looking to hire a new Junior Receptionist to work the 35 hours a week with shifts being 8am to 4pm, 9am to 5pm and 10am to 6pm to assist their very busy team of 3 based on the Front-of-House desk.  This is a perfect opportunity for a 1st/2nd jobber who is looking to work in a professional services environment and who enjoys client facing/customer service.  Previous reception/front-of-house experience is important l but this hire is more about the personality and team-fit – professional, hardworking, bright with a well-presented nature and being a strong communicator where you can liaise with high-net-worth individuals and high-end clients.


Duties for the Junior Receptionist will include:


  • Meet and greet staff, clients, and visitors. Communicating in a professional and helpful manner
  • Answer telephone enquiries promptly and forward them as necessary
  • Daily checks of the reception area and meeting rooms, ensure high standards are maintained and clear rooms when needed
  • Frank and post all letters and packages daily
  • Coordinate MS Teams/Zoom calls and ensure all IT equipment are ready and working for meetings
  • Order taxis and book couriers and be on hand for general office queries
  • Prepare offices for visiting lawyers
  • Regular check stock levels of refreshments (teas and coffee) and stationery and re-order when needed. The confidence to liaise with external providers
  • Running errands i.e., order and collect lunches.
