L&D Assistant – US Law Firm – Hybrid Working

A prestigious US law firm is looking to hire a new Learning & Development Assistant on a permanent basis to support the wider team with day-to-day tasks for lawyer and trainee development.  The role is offering a salary of up to £30,000 plus excellent benefits and agile working, 3 days in the office, 2 from home.

 

Responsibilities will include being the primary contact to maintain lawyers’ CPD database records for multiple international jurisdictions including ownership of maintaining the CPD online database, assisting the manager with annual bar renewals, working with the legal development, HR & Counsel teams to support compliance training and adherence, monitoring the email inbox to action local and international CPD and bar enquiries, working with the manager and director to facilitate internal training sessions, taking responsibility for logistics such as room and zoom bookings, attendance records, collating materials and gathering feedback etc. to escalate feedback as appropriate, taking responsibility for departmental lawyer onboarding tasks including maintaining up to date materials and working with new lawyers to the firm to ensure CPD and bar requirements are up to date and compliant, tracks ambassador & “buddy” pairings, and maintaining and collating relevant materials.  Other duties will include providing administrative support on London DEI initiatives for the London resource groups including but not limited to scheduling, events and newsletter content and scheduling support for reviews and evaluation meetings and liaising with secretaries in a respectful way to ensure that meetings are at an appropriate time for everyone involved.

 

Candidates ideally have 12 months experience within a professional services organization, excellent written, communication and organizational skills and a keen interest in HR and Learning & Development. Standard hours are 9.30am – 5.30pm with a salary of £30,000 on offer plus excellent benefits and agile working.
