Top-ranked and highly prestigious UK law firm is looking for a highly motivated and experienced L&D Manager to join their small yet dynamic team, playing a crucial role in fostering a culture of continuous learning in the firm.

The L&D Manager will report to the Head of L&D and will be responsible for designing, implementing and managing comprehensive Learning & Development programs for legal and business professionals.


Key Responsibilities of the L&D Manager:


  • Collaborate with the Head of L&D and other stakeholders to design the Firm’s learning programmes
  • Work with stakeholders/presenters to conduct engaging and interactive training sessions
  • Liaise with external providers to provide training
  • Manage the administration of the training syllabus including venue, catering, bookings, attendance etc.
  • Create training materials to be used within training sessions
  • Manage the L&D Assistant, allocating work and conducting the annual appraisal and review
  • Work closely with the LMS Adviser to encourage engagement and promote the Learning Management System
  • Manage the L&D annual projects, including the client training offering
  • Draft and manage the Learning & Development budget in consultation with the Head of L&D


Skills & Experience of the L&D Manager:


  • Proven experience in a similar role within a Professional Services environment, ideally a law firm/legal services
  • Experience of the design and development of learning programmes and projects from conception to successful delivery
  • Excellent communicator and influencer
  • Experience of managing and delegating to team members
  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems
  • Effective stakeholder management skills
