Learning & Development Manager – Successful International Law Firm – Generous Hybrid Working

Our large International Law Firm client is currently looking for a L&D Manager to join them on a permanent basis, in their beautiful, newly renovated London offices. and this role will be reporting directly into the Senior L&D Manager and Head of L&D. The purpose of the role will be to lead and manage the current L&D team and develop new strategies and policies in line with the firms’ overarching goals. The role will work with a range of employees of all different seniorities. Main duties involved in this role will be to analyse, create and implement learning needs of the firm to design, deliver, execute, project manage and review development initiatives to support the professional development of all the firm’s partners and employees.

The core responsibilities for this role will include in conjunction with the overall strategy, develop, evolve, and implement the firm’s learning strategy, plan, and practices. The L&D Manager will act as a key member of the L&D team facilitating and leading conversations to identify the firm’s overall L&D strategy and do what is necessary to build upon and improve an established learning programme. They will work closely with HR colleagues to review development needs within fee earner populations and ensure programmes are effective and aligned to individual and business values, priorities, and objectives, design and deliver training to the solicitor, trainee, paralegal, business services and secretarial populations as required and, develop solicitors and support staff through coaching and mentoring using both internal and external expertise.

Candidates must have a strong L&D background and have prior experience managing a team of professionals of all levels. Prior experience in the legal sector would be highly beneficial, along with knowledge of psychometric testing. Proven ability to design and deliver learning experienced over a wide range of topics is essential. Core hours for this role will be 9.30am – 5.30pm and this role is paying generously with full benefits. The firm also offer a very generous hybrid working policy and staff are only required to be in a minimum of 2 days in the office and the rest from home.
