Legal Research Assistant – Leading US Law Firm – Hybrid Working Available

A prestigious US law firm, housed in stunning offices is looking to hire a new Legal Research Assistant to work within the wider Library and Information Services team on a permanent basis.  The firm offer exceptional benefits including a free on-site gym, plus will offer agile working and a salary of up to £33,000.

 

Responsibilities for the Legal Research Assistant will include resource & password management, keeping up to date with new joiners, leavers, secondees, returners from parental leave, managing online resources including passwords, books and journals for new joiners, leavers, secondees and returners from parental leave, database maintenance, supporting and maintaining the library management system, keeping records accurate and standardised, creating new records, archiving old subscription records, managing routing slips, troubleshooting user problems with resource logins and access, supporting the password management system, creating new resources, entering user details, troubleshooting issues and running reports, maintaining departmental portal pages, ordering, cataloguing and recording new acquisitions, troubleshooting and resolving vendor/publisher problems, checking-in and circulating journals and chasing missing issues from vendors as required, assist in renewing journals and resources, collate and process invoices using Chrome River.

 

The successful Legal Research Assistant must have previous experience of office practices and administrative processes, excellent organisational, communication and literacy and team working skills in addition to being confident using Microsoft Office packages.  Standard hours are 9.30am – 5.30pm, with agile working on offer and a salary of up to £33,000.
