One of our International law firm clients is currently looking for a Legal Secretary to join them in their Bristol office on an initial 6-month FTC basis. The focus of this role will be to ensure high quality and diligent secretarial services to fee earners within the firms Professional & Financial risks group, this includes trainee solicitors. The core hours for this role will be 9.30am – 5.30pm and this role is paying the equivalent of up to £29,000. The client only wants to see candidates who can start immediately.


This role will report directly to the firms Head of People services. Strong interpersonal skills both with internal and external stakeholders will be required. Core responsibilities for this role will include but not be limited dealing with client queries as appropriate, managing the production of documents and check returned work produced by the shared services team/speech recognition for accuracy and formatting, taking, and making client related calls, and organising diary and travel arrangements. Supervise general filing requirements and record keeping and production of a range of documents, ensuring compliance at all times, monitoring and managing key dates for clients and ensure compliance procedures are up to date on all files and matters, supporting fee earners in business development activities including the involvement in preparation of pitches and presentations, scheduling meetings e.g. tenders, directories, internal client. Key point of contact for fee earners and Clients to maintain relationships and ensure a high level of support is always provided by the team, monitoring post and/or emails and dealing with as appropriate ensuring all client related correspondence is passed on to an appropriate fee earner and actioned as necessary; proactively responding to and drafting responses on behalf of others, prioritising emails, collating necessary paperwork and e-filing. This role will also involve billing and marketing duties, experience with Chrome River would be beneficial not essential.


Candidates must have previous Legal Secretarial experience and be able to travel to the Bristol office.
