Our client is a prestigious London law firm – they are now looking to recruit an experienced Marketing & Business Development Manager to join their busy and expanding Marketing & BD team in London.

With an in-depth understanding of the Commodities sector, the Marketing & Business Development Manager will take a lead on business development and marketing activities for the Commodities group in order to promote the profile of that area of the business, develop key account relationships and drive revenue growth.

The standard hours are 9.30am to 5.30pm. The salary on offer is up to £65,000 + Benefits. This role is a permanent position. You will be working in their office for 3 days a week and 2 days from home.

Your responsibilities as a Marketing & Business Development Manager will include:
• In consultation with key partners, the development and agreement of strategy and business objectives for the Commodities industry group
• In line with business objectives and working with the Commodities and central marketing team, develop and implement international business development and marketing campaigns, including budget recommendations and the subsequent management of approved budget
• Working collaboratively with the central marketing team, ensure the Commodities practice is effectively integrated in international cross-practice business development, communications and development client activities
• Utilising internal and external sources, including working with PSLs and other specialist in-house resources, understand and research the Commodities sector in order to proactively create business development opportunities
• Actively manage the Commodities practice’s participation in the firm’s client development programme
• Working collaboratively with the Head of Communications (and PSLs when appropriate)
• Working with the central marketing team, manage the requirements for all marketing materials and activities in support of the business development programme for the Commodities practice

Requirements as a Marketing & Business Development Manager include:
• Previous Marketing & BD experience gained from professional services environment
• Ideally you will have experience gained from an established law firm – however not essential
• Degree level or equivalent industry experience
• Ideally you will have an in-depth understanding of the Commodities sector
• Proven ability of working across all levels of business, preferably within a multi-jurisdictional environment.
• Demonstrable experience of initiating and implementing successful business development and marketing communications activities
• Highly proficient on all MS Office packages
