Our client, a prestigious US law firm are looking to recruit an experienced interim Marketing Manager to join their London office, based in stunning Thameside offices close to St Pauls station.


They are keen to hire a Marketing Manager with current law firm managerial experience to provide cover on a 12-month FTC basis, ideally to start in early November to carry out a handover with the existing Marketing Manager who is going on leave. They are keen to hire a seasoned influencer and confident relationship builder used to working with qualified Partners across a diverse range of cultures who has also managed marketing staff. The Marketing Manager will be offered a generous salary of £65,000 – £70,000 plus a generous benefits package. They are currently operating a hybrid working system where you will be working in their office for 3 days, 2 from home, with the standard hours being 9.30am to 5.30pm.


The Marketing Manager will support the Senior Marketing Director in London working with Partners across the Disputes, Corporate, Employment, IP, Tax and Anti-Trust primarily for their London offices. This is a pure marketing position, managing a Marketing Coordinator as well as working with the PR Manager and London and international Business Development teams.


The Marketing Manager will be responsible for;


Planning and Development


  • Participates in the development and implementation of marketing strategies for local offices or practice groups
  • Researches and analyses information to identify marketing opportunities as well as speaking and authorship opportunities
  • Manages projects specifically related to achieving marketing plan objectives
  • Manages events in relation to educational forums, seminars, sponsorships, social events, or other networking opportunities for local offices and practice groups
  • Plans internal and external events including preparation and development of mailing lists
  • Directs vendors and staff in the execution of all components of event or program delivery
  • Negotiates contracts


Client Materials/Proposals/Presentations


  • Collaborates with the partners to support practice group, office and firm business development, marketing and public relation initiatives
  • Leads, co-ordinates and prepares pitches and proposals including compiling materials and engaging with marketing colleagues globally
  • Develops internal and external communications, materials and presentations
  • Develops, disseminates and updates various marketing materials, ensuring materials are up to date and readily available, including practice descriptions and brochures, attorney biographies, newsletters, white papers and other promotional material
  • Researches, sources and acquires competitive intelligence to align the Firm’s responses to RFPs and new business pitch responses
  • Provides practice groups with market research/competitive intelligence to support responses to RFPs


This is a great opportunity for an experienced Marketing Manager to lead on a range of strategic marketing campaigns. Candidates will have minimum 5 years marketing management experience in running internal and external marketing campaigns in a law firm. You will also have budget management experience and able to manage marketing staff.
