Our client, a leading UK law firm is looking to bring in a New Business Manager to drive the development and execution of cross-practice and cross-border strategic pitches and panel reviews, including developing credential statements, fee proposals and presentations.  The New Business Manager will be tasked with advising and supporting on all aspects of the pitch process working directly with Finance, Risk and BD to improve pricing, conflicts and opportunity management and pitch feedback process.

 

This role will be to work both in the office and from home on 2-day, 3 day split and is offering a salary of up to £75,000 for the right candidate. Standard hours are 9.30am – 5.30pm, however a flexible attitude is required.

 

The New Business Manager will be responsible for;

 

  • Work with BD colleagues to leverage our panel appointments to drive revenue and build strong relationships.
  • Support activity to on-board new clients (post pitch), working alongside BD colleagues to implement an action plan to build these relationships in those first few critical months.
  • Review and update existing marketing/BD material to ensure we can respond quickly, consistently and efficiently to opportunities.
  • Further develop our library of high-quality sales support materials and ensure that our sales support materials are on brand and compelling.
  • Further develop our pitch infrastructure including tools, templates and processes and systems to support pitch activity.
  • Support ad hoc projects, typically focused on improving efficiency, such as developing standard templates or creating best practice content for the intranet.

 

Candidates will be degree educated and have a minimum of 5 years marketing/BD/client relationship management experience ideally within law firm. You will be currently operating in a pitch heavy role and possess First class written and editorial skills; as well as strong attention to detail, driven, and proactive. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work flexibly and able to multi-task and work to tight deadlines is essential.
