Leading US Law Firm is looking to hire an Office Administration Manager on a permanent basis in their Brussels based office, to take lead on the firms finances, assist with HR processes, and manage the administration processes that contribute to the overall smooth running of the firm. This will be a highly operational role and the Office Administration Manager will need to have strong previous experience in a similar role, as well as having a good understanding of Local Belgian tax and labour laws and legislation. The Office Administration Manager will also need to be proficient in English. The office is in continuously expanding and the firm are seeking a hardworking, ambitious and humble candidate who has the attitude of no job too big or too small and is able to demonstrate a proactive, can-do and flexible attitude. The hours will either be 9am-5pm with a hybrid working pattern in place and a very generous salary on offer (flexible dependent upon experience). This role is undertaking all the Office Management responsibilities, regularly dealing with senior staff members in the Firm and will work closely with the US office.
This role will be multi-faceted and will require partnering with HR team to assist with Attorney Recruitment, D&I initiatives, and professional development. Previous knowledge of HR processes would be highly desirable in this role. The Office Administration Manager will also play a pivotal role in increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of various processes always providing the best customers service and keeping in line with the Firms core values at all times. The Office Administration Manager will assist with the management of other areas of the firm too including Archiving & Records, Facilities and Finances, this will include budget management, billing processes and accounts, tax and VAT and payroll. Knowledge of these processes will be essential to this role. The Office Administration Manager will need strong understanding and previous experience working within a Law Firm, be computer literate in a range of offices software, be bilingual (local languages and English) and have the ability to balance workloads and work on a range of different projects simultaneously.
The hours for this role are 9am-5pm, and the firm offers hybrid working of 3 days in the office and 2 from home. There is a generous salary on offer for this role that will be flexible dependent on the experience of the candidates. An undergraduate degree in Business Administration or Finance would be beneficial to this role along with an understanding of managing finances for a large organisation.
