Paralegal Manager -Fast growing UK law firm – Autonomous Role With Hybrid Working

Fast growing UK law firm based in the City of London is looking to hire a new Paralegal Manager to join the firm – this is a newly created role and will be responsible for the management of all Paralegals in London.

 

Salary £80-90,000 with flexibility

Hybrid Working (3 days in the office / 2 days remotely)

Key duties for the Paralegal Manager:

  • Manage and take responsibility for utilisation, absence management and monitor the appropriate distribution of the paralegals workload
  • Develop and implement an induction program, onboarding process and training program for new paralegals
  • Act as the primary contact for Partner and lawyer queries to ensure the appropriates service is delivered and expectations are managed and met
  • Develop, propose and implement procedures and best practices for the paralegal department
  • Oversee all aspects of paralegal performance
  • Identify and confirm paralegal hiring needs
  • Monitor and approve holiday, absence and overtime requests through a thorough understanding of business needs and with oversight of resources;
  •  Work collaboratively and proactively with HR to identify and take ownership of performance management/development and reviews, capability and ER issues, learning & development   requirements and absence management etc
  • Manage performance reviews

 

Key Requirements for the Paralegal Manager:

  • Minimum of 5 years Paralegal Management experience
  • Educated at Degree level
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and engage
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills.
