Payroll Specialist – International Law Firm – Agile Working

This international law firm based in the heart of the city is looking to hire a new Payroll Specialist to join the London office on a permanent basis.

 

Salary for this role is up to £60,000 plus excellent benefits

Agile working basis of 3 days in the office, 2 remotely

Nearest stations; Liverpool Street and Bank

 

The successful Payroll Specialist will work closely with the Finance Director and wider payroll teams across the UK and international offices.

 

Responsibilities for the Payroll Specialist will include:

 

  • Process all international payroll changes on a monthly basis ensuring a high level of accuracy and working with Payroll Providers as necessary
  • Process all new joiners and leavers with international payroll providers as necessary, ensuring correct tax treatment and compliance with those jurisdictions requirements
  • Adding new joiners and calculating the monthly pension scheme uploads for various jurisdictions
  • Reconciling monthly, any outstanding or trailing pension contributions.
  • Processing all Tax & Pension payments to the relevant Authorities in each jurisdiction.
  • Attend relevant webinar/seminars to keep up to date with changes in payroll legislation.
  • Deal with any payroll related queries from employees.
  • Assumes responsibility for maintaining the highest level of confidentiality of all financial and systems-related information.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, developments and new technologies affecting the Accounts Payable function.

 

The successful Payroll Specialist will be CIPP qualified, or equivalent, and must have a minimum of five years’ experience working within an international payroll position, preferably within a law firm. Experience of using Access Select or SAP based payroll systems is preferred. In addition, they will preferably have supervisory experience as well as the need to have excellent attention to detail, communication and organisational skills.
