PR & Marketing Coordinator – US Law Firm – City of London

The London office of a top US law firm is seeking to hire a new PR & Marketing Coordinator into their International Marketing and Client Development team, with a focus to offer a full generalist PR and Communications service across their London and international non-US offices, reporting directly to the International Head of Business Development and Marketing, who is also based in London.  Candidates will have a full range of generalist PR and marketing core responsibilities and will have the opportunity to step-up to take on project work, and fit into a cohesive, friendly and encouraging working environment working closely with a collaborative and tight knit team.

 

Duties of the PR & Marketing Coordinator include:

 

  • Assisting the Head of Business Development and Marketing in the development of proactive media relations and communications strategies and implement the firm’s media relations program to support the firm’s client focused strategies
  • National media, local and sector media strategies and tactical implementation
  • Growing and cultivating media contacts with trade press, national business and legal media
  • Following the firm’s communications and marketing plan proactively promote lawyers and the firm initiatives to media outlets through the development of contacts in media outlets on a local, national and international basis
  • Cold calling media outlets to promote stories and story ideas which will promote the firm and the firm’s brand
  • Develop, maintain and track the editorial calendars of international, local and industry media outlets
  • Drafting press releases, internal communications and coordinating digital media campaigns in conjunction with the firm’s centralised social media team
  • Track the UK legal awards calendar and help pulling relevant content and submitting to target awards submissions, as well as regular annual surveys
  • Experience developing directory submissions is considered a bonus
  • Develop and maintain a firm media contact list pairing media trained lawyers / experts with targeted practice group areas and areas of interest

 

Candidates should ideally have a minimum 2 years current experience working in a PR and Communications role within the legal media space. Strong academics and qualifications in journalism would also be desirable. The core hours for this role are 9:30am-6pm. This role is offering a generous salary of 45-50k, flexible dependent on experience and a brilliant, flexible hybrid working structure for a 3 day working week.
