Practice Development Assistant

A fast growing US Law Firm is looking to hire a new Client Development Assistant on a permanent basis to focus primarily on the Private Equity Business Unit and the UK Events function.  This role will provide core support to a number of client development efforts. Standard hours are 9.30am – 5.30pm with a salary of up to £30,000 on offer plus fantastic benefits.

 

Responsibilities for this role will include providing support to key client development initiatives, as determined by team leadership, working with the CD team to perform basic competitive intelligence and marketing research in preparation for client and prospect meetings, pitches/proposals, and other business development initiatives, providing administrative and logistical support for local office marketing events, updating activities and opportunities in the firm’s systems to track new and developing business, maintaining done deals within the matter system and materials and assist with monthly ranking submissions. Other administrative duties will include general diary management – arranging meetings and conference calls including booking rooms, circulating agendas and, where required, preparing information packs for distribution at meetings, organising team meetings/calls including preparing agendas, materials and minutes/actions, liaising with the Firm’s travel agency to coordinate all travel arrangements and visas as necessary; preparing detailed travel itineraries and processing invoices and expense reimbursements via Chrome river, follow up on any queries regarding payment.

 

Candidates need to have excellent written, organisation and communication skills in addition to exceptional attention to detail skills.  Previous Marketing/CRM experience would be highly desirable, within a professional services environment, preferably a law firm.
