One of our leading US law firm housed in stunning offices in the heart of the City is returning to their office this month are wanting to add a new Receptionist to their already excellent team of 2 on a 12 month FTC!  This firm is one of the best places to work in London and you will be operating a very polished, professional and seamless reception desk where the standards are the same as the lawyers.  You will be the first and last person any internal/external client meets and creating the initial impression is always key – so taking care and pride in your presentation, delivery and communication are key. The role is on a full time bases on a 12 month FTC, the hours for this role are 07:45 – 16:45 with a salary range of £31-35,000 dependent upon experience, plus superb employee benefits.

Duties will include but are not limited to: Greet all clients and visitors to the office and notify meeting host and any relevant parties of their arrival and ensure clients’ needs are anticipated and met at all times and pro-actively seek out ways in which to improve client satisfaction.  Liaise with and respond to email and verbal requests/queries from all internal clients in a prompt and professional manner as well as liaise with other receptionists, AV team, catering team, facilities team in the smooth running of the client floor.  Provide basic administration support for clients when required, i.e. printing, scanning, photocopying etc. and maintain orderly appearance of the reception area and client meeting rooms.  Use online room booking system to reserve, move or cancel bookings, including catering and any Facilities and AV requirements.  Respond to all room booking requests and manage the allocation of the London meeting rooms / visitor offices / video conference services and check meeting room set ups in advance, making sure all equipment, catering and any other requests have been provided according to the booking instruction.


Qualifications and skills required:

  • Educated to minimum GCSE level or equivalent
  • 2-3 years front of house / reception experience within professional services (ideally a law firm)
  • Proficiency with the MS Office
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the firm via email, phone and face to face
  • Ability to prioritise workload and use initiative , with a “can do”, helpful and proactive attitude
  • Positive, professional attitude, able to remain calm under pressure
