A prestigious US law firm in the City is looking to hire a new Receptionist to join a fantastic team on a permanent basis.  The role is to work the hours between 8.30 am to 4.30 pm or 9.30 to 5.30 pm. and a salary of up to £32,000 is on offer plus excellent benefits.


Responsibilities will include greeting visitors in a professional and friendly manner, and notifies appropriate firm members of visitor’s arrival, assisting in making visitors comfortable until greeted by party with whom they are scheduled to meet, escorting visitors to appropriate meeting room or area, answering incoming and intra-office telephone calls, answers routine questions, and routes or re-routes calls to appropriate person or area, maintaining current knowledge of staffing changes, and related telephone directory updates, receiving reservation requests from legal and non-legal staff for conference room and/or visitor room use, prioritising  requests and reserves, confirms and reassigns conference rooms in order to meet changing needs, ensuring that conference rooms are supplied with requested food and beverage items. Required to enter food, beverage, and multimedia information in conference room management software, and distribute confirmations to the appropriate parties. Other duties will include submitting updates to Firm Meetings and Events Calendar with local (single-office) events as soon as they are booked/cancelled, occasionally being responsible for meeting room set-ups, including catering services when required, may be required to perform a variety of administrative and concierge tasks which may include, but are not limited to, faxing; photocopying; word processing; maintaining a variety of records, logs and files (if applicable; attendance records, catering supplies, parking validations, car and taxi service reservations, dining reservations, courier, daily absences, etc.).


The successful Receptionist must have a minimum of A-C GCSE Grades including Maths & English, plus 18 months professional services front of house experience, in addition to excellent organisation and communication skills and the ability to deliver a 5 star service to both visiting and internal visitors.
