A top UK law firm is looking to hire a new Records Manager to join the rapidly growing firm on a permanent basis to be responsible for managing the firm’s hard copy data and associated movements of files, including management of the firm’s archives and its GDPR compliant data destruction programme. The role is offering a salary of up to £70,000 plus excellent benefits.

 

Responsibilities will include being responsible for the movements of files, deeds and wills to and from the restore storage facility, managing the firm’s two dedicated data stewards,  working alongside the facilities manager to co-ordinate the general office (‘GO’) based team which assists with the movement of hard copy data in the firm, managing the firm’s Filetrack software and first line liaison with its supplier (Intandem) and with restore and managing the firm’s GDPR compliant file destruction programme alongside the general counsel and other members of the risk team, liaising with the director of IT and the GC on alignment of hard and soft copy GDPR compliant data destruction programmes and working with the GC on any hard and soft copy data related projects which may arise from time to time, such as scanning of hard copy data and file archives.

 

Candidates must have previous Records management or supervisory experience within a law firm, excellent GDPR and archiving software knowledge and excellent written, communication and organisation skills.  This role will be working 35 hours a week across a 7 hour shift between 8.30am – 6.30pm.  A salary of up to £70,000 is on offer plus exceptional benefits.
