Our fantastic international law firm client is currently looking for a Risk, Compliance & Conflicts Lawyer to join them on a permanent basis, the main focus of this role is supporting the Director of Risk, Compliance & Conflicts and the Compliance Officer for Legal Practice in relation to all aspects of their roles, worldwide.

 

The key responsibilities of this role will include assisting the Director of Risk, Compliance & Conflicts and COLP with the numerous daily queries which arise regarding the SRA Code, professional standards and best practice, ethics, conflicts, financial crime, supplier contracts and firm and third party terms and conditions, regularly updating the Professional Standards Manual and Partners’ Guide, drafting policies and procedures to take account of changes in the regulatory law in any of the jurisdictions in which the firm operates, managing responses to and reports of data breaches, managing responses to data subject requests, reviewing data protection policies and procedures on at least an annual basis and updating as necessary, conducting Privacy Impact Assessments and Data Protection Impact Assessments, reviewing the local data protection law requirements of our international offices, managing internal data protection awareness programmes, writing and amending terms of engagement with clients in all the jurisdictions in which the firm operates, writing and amending terms of engagement with counsel, foreign lawyers and experts. The salary for this role is up to £85,000.

 

Candidates should be a qualified Lawyer with at least 5 years PQE and at least 2 years legal compliance experience.
