Senior Business Development Executive

Leading law firm is looking to hire a new Senior Business Development Executive to work in the Technology, Media and Corporate Group where you will be offered a balance of project ownership/autonomy, involvement in team initiatives and significant Partner liaison, with this group having little hierarchy you will be encouraged to take on as much responsibility as you are ready for whilst receiving the relevant support and development with both your professional and business skills.  This role is an ideal position for someone still on the upward curve career wise with perhaps 3+ years legal BD experience and wanting to take that next step.  Duties will include working closely with the SBDM and Bid Manager to support the delivery of bids, proposals, client presentations and capability statements, drafting compelling and engaging content by practice area, team and sector, coordination and support of relevant directory and award submissions, helping secure high placement in leading legal directories in collaboration with the marketing services team, working with the marketing services team and the lawyers to build overall brand and reputation in the external marketplace, providing advice and guidance to lawyers concerning how to raise profile, awareness and drive market reputation to key buyer groups, work alongside lawyers to implement appropriate positioning and business development tactics including legal updates, bulletins, blogs, conferences, seminars, hospitality, telemarketing, ensure practice area marketing initiatives dovetail with firmwide marketing and brand building activities and oversee BD budgets for the group.  Applicants should have a strong understanding of business-to-business marketing, business development and relationship management within professional services with history of building strong and trusting relationships with Senior Stakeholders.  This role will require you to go the ‘extra mile’ so candidates who are happy to work from their own initiative and deliver high level and accurate work are required.  Standard hours are 9:30am to 5:30pm with a salary to £45,000.
