Leading US law firm is looking to hire a new Senior Business Development Manager to implement business development programs and initiatives across their London and international corporate practice groups. Based in City of London offices next to Liverpool Street,  you will be tasked with maintaining and strengthening the firm’s corporate profile across M&A and Private Equity. The firm are keen to hire an experienced legal Business Development Manager with at least five years of manager-level experience who will lead the practice’s strategist BD plans across the London and wider EMEA region. This position is a hybrid working role with a minimum of 3 days in the office.  Standard hours are 9:30am to 5:30pm and are prepared to offer a generous salary of up to 100k and a competitive benefits package.

 

The Senior Business Development Manager will report directly into the Chief Marketing Officer and will work directly with the firm’s corporate practice leadership, and in conjunction with the wider Marketing & BD teams in the US and internationally, to secure new corporate/transactional clients, strengthen existing relationships, and build the firm’s corporate profile. You will lead the development and execution of strategic and tactical plans and regularly monitor and report progress. Additionally, you will manage a small BD team of 2 in London.

 

Candidates will be degree educated as well as possessing an MBA or CIM qualification. You will have a minimum of 7 years’ experience in professional services business development in a law firm, with around 5 years’ at manager-level within a corporate department, ideally managing BD staff. You will be energetic, creative, demonstrating a leadership and proactive, “can do” approach. Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communications skills, ability to deliver persuasive presentations are also essential.
