A fantastic International Law Firm is recruiting for a new Senior L&D Manager in their London office on a permanent basis. The main focus of this role will be to design and deliver various learning projects to support the firm’s learning strategy and goals. This role will work closely with a range of internal stakeholders in both the fee earning and business services areas of the firm.

 

Main duties involved in this role will be to identify, establish and implement learning needs of the firm to design, deliver, execute, project manage and review large and often complex learning curriculums and activities to support the Learning Strategy laid out by the firm quickly and effectively. Experience and knowledge of using psychometric assessments and 360 tools to aid and enhance learning programmes will be important in this position. The role will also involve an element of coaching and mentoring members of the firm when needed.  The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders at the firm to shape, advise on and execute organisational development projects, solve business problems, and drive cultural change from within. The Senior L&D Manager will Inform the firm’s learning strategy by sharing with the Head of Learning insights, specialist knowledge and information gathered from stakeholders at every level across the firm, and therefore shape the future of learning at the firm. You will also be required to assess candidates at assessment centres including the Gateway programme (for high performing and high potential Senior Associates) and Trainee Assessment days. Prior experience managing budgets would be advantageous as candidates will be expected to set, manage and review the budget relating to their specific areas of responsibility and aid the Head of Learning in managing the budget of the department. support the Head of Learning to manage the learning budget Candidates will also need to have strong computer literacy and be well versed in working with LMS to provide learning solutions and collate reports. Successful applicants will also need to outsource training providers where external expertise is required, making sure they too match the firms core values and manage the relationship effectively. Candidates must also be understanding of the firm’s regulations and work stakeholders to ensure compliance.

 

Candidates need to be educated at degree level, with a wealth of career development experience, significantly in a professional services organisation or consultancy. Candidates need to have excellent written & verbal skills in addition to exceptional organisational and communication skills and strong analytical skills.  A salary of up to £75,000 is on offer plus fantastic benefits.
