Our client is a prestigious London law firm – they are now looking to recruit a Senior Postroom Assistant to join their busy and expanding facilities team in London.

This role is responsible for the daily coordination of the Post Room’s workload and tasks, escalating issues as appropriate – you will be the first point of contact for all Postroom services for the business.

Hours as per shift rota pattern are 8am to 6pm (7 hours a day, 1 hour for lunch). The salary on offer is up to £34,000 + Benefits. This role is a permanent position. You will be required to work in their office for 5 days a week.

Your responsibilities as a Senior Postroom Assistant will include:

• Maintain and develop excellent internal and external client and supplier relationships
• Day to day management of suppliers and products/services they provide specific to the Post Room
• Deal with day to day enquires from the business, queries about services and coordinate task allocation across the team
• Act as a senior technical expert to others in the Post Room, assisting the team on a day-to-day basis on best practice processes and procedures
• Manage daily jobs and workflow with outsource providers, including incoming and outgoing couriers
• Monitor day to day service delivery
• Delivery general Post Room services as part of the Post Room team
• Occasionally deputise for Services Manager in their absence – overseeing management of the post room

Requirements as a Senior Postroom Assistant include:

• Ideally have previous Postroom experience gained from a recognised law firm
• Supervisory experience would be advantageous
• Experience within a professional services environment would also be considered
• Deep understanding of Post Room services
• Understanding of Post Room equipment
• Highly skilled on all MS Office applications
• Proactive and ability to take ownership of tasks with a “can-do” attitude
• Ability to be flexible to meet the demands of the work
