Step-up to Litigation Support Manager (12 Month FTC)

Leading international law firm is looking to hire a new Litigation Support Manager on an initial 12 month FTC. The firm’s team represents global businesses and high net worth individuals on the successful resolution of complex and high value commercial disputes and investigations. Their range from representing the largest global organisations in commercial litigation to handling major regulatory investigations, complex fraud recovery actions and defending criminal proceedings in relation to high profile bribery allegations, with clients ranging from owner managed businesses and startups to global corporations. This role is primarily to assist Partners and Associates in the Disputes & Investigations Group and the duties will include a multiple of eDisclosure responsibilities such as, advising and supporting fee earners and clients in relation to all aspects of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model, the preservation and collection of client documents including liaising directly with clients’ IT departments, sourcing quotes and retaining external litigation support vendors, administering document reviews (in conjunction with external vendors) using review platforms such as Relativity, Axcelerate, Ringtail, Clearwell, administration of the Early Case Assessment tool that the firm operates, including processing, culling and dealing with errors in data sets, as well as preparing documents for review, running disclosure preparation searches and assisting fee earners to quality assurance process and preparing Lists of Documents and producing documents in hard copy and electronic format for disclosure, advising and supporting fee earners and clients in relation to all aspects of general matter management and trial preparation including, undertaking legal research, preparing court documents and bundles, preparing witness statements and exhibits, line management for the permanent paralegals in the Disputes & Investigations group, including performance reviews, mentoring and coaching, in conjunction with the HR, IT, building services, billing and catering departments, managing the recruitment and supervision of temporary paralegal resources including but not limited to, working with fee earner to determine the number of agency paralegals required and any necessary skills, liaising with agencies, organising access to the firm’s time recording software and conducting training in relation to same, conducting any necessary training such as using review platforms, dealing with external vendors in relation to large scale photocopying, scanning and coding tasks and monitoring the performance of litigation software systems currently used by the firm (in conjunction with IT Services). Applicants require being both methodical and logical in their approach to work and can demonstrate good organisational skills, be able to demonstrate that they have the confidence to work for a variety of levels (i.e. Associate & Partner level), experience of managing suppliers, preferably litigation support software suppliers, have previous document handling and litigation paralegal experience, litigation management experience and be strong across multiple legal software.
