A leading, progressive and environmentally aware City law firm is seeking to hire a new Sustainability Assistant to join the wider Facilities Administration team in the London office.

 

Full-time and permanent opportunity, paying to £32,000 with a fantastic hybrid pattern of 50/50 (3 days in the office one week and 2 days the next)!

 

The Sustainability Assistant will Support the Sustainability Manager and other members of the London Facilities team to deliver against key environmental objectives. This is a broad and varied function, and areas of work range from setting net zero targets and identifying opportunities to reduce our environmental impact, to organising events and initiatives for people across the firm to get involved, or reporting on our progress and sharing information with our clients.

 

This is a fantastic Sustainability Assistant opportunity for someone with a keen interest in sustainability to join a leading City law firm.

 

Responsibilities as a Sustainability Assistant:

 

  • Coordinating the firm’s global greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory data collection process.
  • Becoming a super user for environmental data platforms and act as a key point of contact for users for users with queries and training requirements.
  • Data gathering and inputting for reporting and disclosures, e.g. EcoVadis and CDP.
  • Administering the firm’s environmental management system, which they use to identify areas for improvement and track performance.
  • Assisting the Facilities team with administrative support on projects e.g. travel and waste management initiatives.
  • Ensuring the intranet site is kept up to date.
  • Producing high-quality written material for internal communications channels.
  • Organising events to raise awareness of environmental initiatives across the London office.

 

Skills as a Sustainability Assistant:

 

  • Previous administrative experience is essential, preferably within a professional services environment.
  • Demonstrable interest in a career in environmental sustainability.
  • Knowledge of and interest in the environment and corporate sustainability agenda.
  • Strong IT skills and competence in Microsoft Excel.
