Training Contract Paralegal – US Law Firm – Generous Salary & Hybrid Working

A top US law firm is looking to hire a new Paralegal on an initial 12 month contract, working within the Antitrust team, predominantly supporting the PSL in the team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Future trainee solicitor commencing a training contract in 2024.  Standard hours are 9.30am – 5.30pm plus a salary of up to £50,000 is on offer plus excellent benefits, overtime and agile working.

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the PSL with maintaining and keeping updated the team’s know-how resources, and with other training-related administration;
  • Carrying out some tasks on behalf of fee earners, freeing them from routine things which do not require legal qualification;
  • Assisting junior associates and trainees with procedures that may be unfamiliar to them;
  • Assisting the PSL with legal research and writing;
  • Maintaining matter sites (with data collected from fee earners) and AT portal resources under direction of the PSL;
  • Assisting the PSL with administrative matters related to the team’s learning and development programme;
  • Preparing filings for submission to competition authorities;
  • Assisting trainees with compiling transaction bibles/similar;

Candidates must have the ability to work directly with lawyers, strong written, communication and organisation skills – this role would suit a future trainee who can commit to 12 months or a career paralegal.
