Damian Larbey

Co-Founder & Director

Damian is a founding Director of Larbey Evans, responsible for strategic recruitment initiatives, working with boutique firms through to Magic Circle. Having assisted with the set-up of City based “start-up” law firms in recent years (as well as the organisational restructuring within established firms), Damian offers consultative advice surrounding remuneration, best practice, testing, software design and methodology. Damian leads regular market overviews, producing informed literature on key “hot” topics. Our clients look upon Damian as a trusted advisor for large scale Document Reviews – engaging English and Foreign Qualified lawyers within complex, multi-jurisdictional litigation matters whilst also being a contact for recruitment of all legal support and administrative staff for London, Europe and Middle Eastern offices. Jack Waldron

Director of Recruitment

Jack is Director of Recruitment at Larbey Evans, with over 13 years at the firm specialising in senior-level and confidential hires across business services and talent functions within the legal sector.

Jack works closely with law firm leadership teams on the identification and appointment of senior professionals, particularly at Director, Head of Department and senior management level, across Human Resources, Talent, Compliance and other key business services functions in London, nationally and internationally.

Alongside client work, Jack plays a central role in the development and leadership of the Larbey Evans recruitment team. He oversees the hiring, mentoring and professional development of Consultants, supporting the growth.

Jack brings a strong understanding of the legal sector, having previously worked within internal recruitment teams at three leading US law firms in London, spanning HR, graduate recruitment, fee-earner hiring and wider business services recruitment, giving him a well-rounded perspective on talent strategy within law firms.

Additionally, Jack is committed to mentoring and pro-bono initiatives that support early-career professionals and those looking to develop careers within the legal sector, including educational workshops and mock interviews at GCSE secondary schools.

Kirstey Foot

Operations Manager

Kirstey is the Operations Manager at Larbey Evans, responsible for overseeing internal processes, procedures, and service delivery to ensure everything runs smoothly and in line with our core values. With over a decade of experience in the legal sector, Kirstey began her career as a Legal Secretary before moving into HR and recruitment, supporting top-tier US law firms in London across Business Services, Fee-Earner, and Graduate Recruitment. Her broad experience gives her a well-rounded view of the industry and what makes legal recruitment successful. Kirstey is passionate about building strong relationships, streamlining operations, and supporting the continued growth of the Larbey Evans team.

Neil Hagan

Managing Consultant (Finance & Business Development/Marketing)

Neil is Managing Consultant (Finance, Business Development/Marketing) at Larbey Evans, specialising in the permanent and interim recruitment of professionals in these areas. He has worked within the legal industry throughout his career, working for established City law firms before moving to legal recruitment over 10 years ago. He has an exceptional understanding of how the modern law firm operates at all levels and able to offer guidance to hiring managers through all stages of the recruitment process.

Neil has an established legal network of qualified and non-qualified finance, business development, marketing, and compliance professionals. He prides himself on providing a first class service with regards to advice on career moves, cv presentation, interview coaching and the offer process.

Mark Irwin

Senior Consultant

With over 15 years of legal recruitment experience, Mark brings deep expertise from in-house Recruitment Manager and Senior Leadership roles at Magic Circle, Silver Circle and US law firms in addition to top-tier legal recruitment agencies; hiring and placing talent across fee-earner and all business services support functions.

Mark possesses in-depth understanding of internal hiring processes and strategic talent acquisition and takes a consultative and strategic approach to recruitment, drawing on specialist knowledge including Human Resources, Talent Development, Business Development and Finance.
