Digital and Reprographics Assistant

A prestigious London barristers’ chambers is seeking a personable and proactive Digital and Reprographics Assistant who enjoys working with staff and barristers at all levels.  This role offers a high degree of autonomy, allowing you to organise your day while ensuring daily responsibilities are delivered to an exceptional standard without direct supervision.

Digital and Reprographics Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Order and digitise case papers, ensuring accurate reconciliation with Chambers’ case management system
  • Produce advanced e-bundles for barrister instructions, enclosures, and court submissions
  • Troubleshoot digital bundle issues, including locating missing documents and repairing corrupt files
  • Collate and prepare complex case files across multiple digital and media formats, including indexing and tabbing
  • Print court bundles to Chambers’ presentation standards and prescribed court formats
  • Take ownership of Chambers’ scanning and electronic archiving service, including advanced and archive scanning
  • Support management and routine maintenance of printers and scanners, including first-line fixes and service call outs
  • Monitor stock levels and process orders as required

Digital and Reprographics Assistant Skills & Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, dealing with a large-scale document handling, scanning, and indexing
  • IT literate, with strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 packages e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, and desirable knowledge of CaptureOnTouch, Adobe Pro or Tungsten Power PDF (formally Kofax)
  • Professional and well-presented who enjoys interacting with staff and Barristers at all levels across the organisation
  • Reasonably fit and capable of handling the physical aspects of the role e.g. lifting and shifting multiple boxes of files and papers and occasionally taking trolley-loads of papers to court
