Our top UK law firm client in the City is on the lookout for a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, to ensure the firm’s technology landscape remains efficient, secure, and continuously evolving to drive innovation and uphold best practices across all cloud and infrastructure activities.

Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the firms technology environment is continually evolving and is configured in a way that provides a stable, high performing and secure environment
  • Design, implement, and continually manage Azure cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, security, and high availability
  • Administer and optimize Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments
  • Develop Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform to streamline provisioning and configuration
  • Develop a deep understanding of the firm’s existing IT infrastructure and cyber security defences and actively search for areas of improvement
  • Continuously monitor and optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency, performance, and reliability, leveraging automation and best practices
  • Implement robust security controls, identity management, and compliance frameworks to meet organisational and regulatory requirements

Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Skills & Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft cloud services and the broader Microsoft technology stack (Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, related SaaS offerings)
  • Expertise in Azure services and architecture, including automation using Terraform
  • Deep understanding of cloud security principles, identity and access management, and compliance frameworks
  • Solid understanding of a broad range of general IT topics and applications across the legal industry (iManage, 3E, Intapp, Mimecast, Tessian, Litera suite)
  • Knowledge of networking concepts (VPN, firewalls, load balancing) in cloud environments
