Temporary Compliance Officer

Leading UK law firm based in the City is seeking a Temporary Compliance Officer on an initial one-month assignment, to assist with the management of the firm’s client onboarding process.

  • Competitive hourly rate
  • 09:30-17:30 working hours
  • Initial in-office / in-person attendance
  • Hybrid working – 3 days in the office / 2 days remote

Temporary Compliance Officer Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting and ensuring that due diligence is conducted on all clients of the firm
  • Reviewing client matter files to ensure that proper client opening, maintenance and CDD procedures have been followed
  • Answering AML queries from fee earners and other staff, escalating as necessary
  • Processing conflict search requests and analysing results
  • Managing a shared inbox of incoming requests for new client and new matter openings

Temporary Compliance Officer Skills & Requirements:

  • Must be available to start immediately, or at very short notice
  • Previous experience in a Compliance role, ideally within a law firm
  • A prior exposure to risk assessments and experience in client onboarding
  • Experience with 3E would be preferred
