HR Assistant – 2nd Jobber

Our client is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic HR Assistant to join their London office Human Resources team. This role is ideal for someone at an early stage in their HR career who is keen to develop practical HR experience within a structured, supportive team where Best Practice is followed. You will receive exposure to a broad range of HR activities across the employee lifecycle, working closely with HR Clients across the industry.

Key Responsibilities of the HR Assistant

  • Provide day-to-day management of shared HR inboxes, responding to queries, coordinating administrative support, and escalating matters where appropriate.
  • Coordinate recruitment activities, including monitoring applications, liaising with hiring managers and candidates, maintaining recruitment trackers, and arranging interviews.
  • Prepare draft contracts and other employee documentation using approved templates.
  • Maintain accurate employee records by updating HR systems, databases, and trackers, supporting onboarding and wider HR processes.
  • Administer new starter inductions and onboarding programmes, ensuring a positive employee experience from day one.
  • Support visa and right-to-work processes, maintaining documentation and liaising with relevant stakeholders.
  • Updating HR handbooks when required.
  • Provide administrative support for employee benefits, including liaising with brokers, managing documentation, and supporting annual renewal processes.
  • Supporting Partners with remuneration reviews, bonus cycles, and promotion processes, ensuring accurate record keeping and timely administration.
  • Maintain organised electronic filing systems, ensuring all HR records, trackers, and databases are accurate, up to date, and compliant.

  • Degree educated
  • Strong passion for a career in HR
  • Strong administration and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • 1 year of previous experience in an HR administration or HR coordinator role.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems.
  • Highly organised, responsive, and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
